Based in Kolkata and Tokyo, the brand specializes in handwoven silk textiles made from handspun yarn, sourced from wild silkworms in local forests. These age-old techniques, passed down for over 1,300 years, are still practiced entirely by hand, preserving the authenticity and beauty of this craft.

Maintaining this treasured tradition has become increasingly challenging, but Bunon remains deeply committed to its heritage. A team from Japan regularly collaborates with local artisans, sharing knowledge and insights to honor and sustain these techniques.
