Collection: Julia Heuer

German born, Paris-based designer Julia Heuer is a master of prints and pleats, creating sculptural, wearable pieces that blur the line between fashion and art. Trained in textile design at the Royal Academy of Arts in Stuttgart and the Danish Design School, she honed her craft at houses including Dior, Comme des Garçons, and Vivienne Westwood before launching her eponymous label in Paris.

Each piece begins with an in-house designed print, developed through a mix of hand painting, drawing, and scanning real textures before being transformed into digital collages. The prints are then brought to life through ancient pleating techniques, including the Arashi Shibori method, in which fabric is hand-bound around tubes by skilled artisans to create the rounded, sculptural forms the brand is known for. The result is clothing that is deeply individual, comfortable, and built to last, designed for everyday life as much as for special occasions.
