About the fabric:
This original fabric is woven on vintage looms in the historic textile region of Bishu. Using a combination of 120/2 cotton and compact 12/3 open-end spun cotton for the warp, and alternating 60/1 ramie and 44/1 linen for the weft, it creates a distinctive classic stripe pattern with a subtle yet impactful presence.

The variation in cotton thread thickness adds depth and structure to the plain weave, enhancing the dimensionality of the stripes. The alternating ramie and linen weft provide a crisp texture with natural slubs, balancing structure with a soft organic feel. Woven at the highest possible density, the fabric is exceptionally durable despite its refined appearance.

With wear, the linen fibers soften, developing a beautifully aged texture reminiscent of antique textiles.
